Q. What is cost vs. hi-end wallcoverings or fabric panels?
A: As noted above, cost depends on area and finish selected. Better wallcoverings may range from $6 to $15/sq. ft. and fabric panels are in the mid-to-high $20's/sq. ft. However, when life cycle is a factor, you'll find Vitruv surfaces to be a comparable value.

Q. How do you clean it?, Repair it?
A: Vitruv is relatively mar-proof and withstands the normal dents and "dings" of everyday wear. In fact, we warranty our work for one year of normal use. It is easily patched, when needed. For most stains, a dirt eraser, or soap and water, work fine.

Q. How many colors does it come in?
A: We can match any color in any finish you desire! Call (718) 707-0007 and ask for your own Vitruv sample book of colors and finishes - or have our studio prepare a sample just for you.

Q. Is it fire-retardant?, Mold resistant?
A: Yes, Vitruv finishes are cement based, so they're Class A rated, as well as Zero VOC rated. Where mold might occur, we add anti-microbial agents to the finish.

Q. What substrate can Vitruv be put on?, What prep is needed?
A: We've found sheetrock, plywood and cement are perfect -- as long as the substrate has "integrity", i.e.: no peeling paint, wallpaper or loose tiles. Add a base primer and we're ready to apply Vitruv.

Q. How long has DFB been installing it Vitruv?
A: After 2 years in development we began on-site installation 2 years ago. DFB Sales (www.dfbsales.com) is proud to introduce our newest wall treatment.

Q. How quickly can I get a sample?
A: For custom colors, allow 1 week to blend and pre-trial the sample. Or, you can have an "in stock" sample the next day. Call (718) 707-0007 for samples.

Q. How fast Vitruv be installed?
A: We can generally start as soon as the sheetrock is up! We've been able to finish about 1000 sq. ft. in a few days, which includes the base primer and proprietary mesh under-layment.

Q. Is it seamless?, Can you do corners?
A: Yes, Vitruv finishes are seamless. And yes, corners are made even stronger than a metal bead edge because they're double-wrapped with mesh and coated.

Q. Is it good on floors?, Countertops?
A: Floors can benefit from a Vitruv finish, as long as they're sealed with a urethane topcoat. We've not been asked to do a countertop, but we'd be happy to try it!
